Rotary AIP

Last week at our AIP coffee evening, we had the tremendous honour of presenting Martine with a Ruby Paul Harris Fellowship — a richly deserved recognition of her outstanding dedication and service to Rotary and to our world.

The Paul Harris Fellowship is named after Rotary's founder and is awarded to those who contribute US$1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation — supporting the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus, and Humanitarian Grants. Each fellowship level is marked by a gemstone reflecting the cumulative total contributed. A Ruby Paul Harris means that Martine has given over $7,000 USD to these causes — an extraordinary and deeply personal commitment to making our world a better place.

What inspires Martine most is the foundation itself. The Rotary Foundation holds one of the highest charity ratings available, with low overhead, minimal administrative costs, and a model where every dollar donated is doubled in impact within three years. Contributions serve both international and local projects, helping Rotarians bring their purpose to life in communities near and far.

That small flag on her pin represents ten consecutive years of giving, a quiet but powerful symbol of unwavering commitment.

We are incredibly proud of Martine and everything she represents for Rotary AIP. Congratulations!

La semaine dernière, lors de notre soirée café AIP, nous avons eu l'immense honneur de remettre à Martine une Bourse Paul Harris Rubis — une reconnaissance amplement méritée de son dévouement exceptionnel et de son service envers le Rotary et envers notre monde.

La Bourse Paul Harris porte le nom du fondateur du Rotary et est décernée à ceux qui contribuent 1 000 $ US ou plus à la Fondation Rotary — soutenant le Fonds annuel, PolioPlus et les Subventions humanitaires. Chaque niveau de bourse est marqué par une pierre précieuse reflétant le total cumulatif des contributions. Une Bourse Paul Harris Rubis signifie que Martine a donné plus de 7 000 $ US à ces causes — un engagement extraordinaire et profondément personnel pour rendre notre monde meilleur.

Ce qui inspire Martine avant tout, c'est la fondation elle-même. Et ce petit drapeau sur son insigne ? Il représente dix années consécutives de dons — un symbole discret mais puissant d'un engagement indéfectible.

Nous sommes incroyablement fiers de Martine et de tout ce qu'elle représente pour le Rotary AIP. Félicitations !

Another great Coffee Talk with AIP members and friends. Epoch hosted us for the evening with great coffee , a tour, our own special cold coffee blend, and plenty of laughs. If you have never been, you should stop by or sign up for one of their coffee tasting events. It was nice to have some Rotarians from a couple of other local area clubs join us for a chat too. Une autre excellente rencontre autour d'un café avec les membres et amis de l'AIP. Epoch nous a accueillis pour la soirée avec un excellent café, une visite guidée, notre propre mélange spécial de café froid et beaucoup de rires. Si vous n'y êtes jamais allé, vous devriez vous y arrêter ou vous inscrire à l'une de leurs dégustations de café. C'était agréable d'avoir également la compagnie de quelques Rotariens d'autres clubs locaux pour discuter.
