A big thank you to Mayor Ann Lawlor for sharing her support of the Credit Valley Conservation SNAP program, and the young people at the heart of it. πΏ
We're so grateful to have local leaders who believe in connecting youth with the nature right in their own backyards. It means so much to our team and to this community.

Talk about a sweet surprise! β¨πͺ
Our Credit Valley Conservation Staff Day at Island Lake was already a special one, but Little Rose Cookie Co. made it truly unforgettable.
This incredible Streetsville gem generously donated beautifully branded cookies for every single member of our team, and let us tell youβ¦ they did not disappoint. π
From the moment the box opened, it was love at first bite. Perfectly crafted, ridiculously delicious, and made with the kind of care you can actually taste.
We are so grateful for the generosity and heart behind Little Rose Cookie Co. If you haven't already, we can't recommend them enough, whether you're popping by their shop in Streetsville for a treat that'll make your whole week, or connecting with them to make your next event as memorable as ours. ππͺ
Thank you, Little Rose Cookie Co.! You are the sweetest partners in every sense of the word, and we're so grateful we get to work together! . . . .
Some legacies are measured not in years, but in the lives they touch for generations to come.
On May 29th, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation was honoured to join our colleagues and leadership at Credit Valley Conservation, partners, community leaders, supporters and Jim Toveyβs family to celebrate the opening of the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area β a milestone years in the making and a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.
Throughout the ceremony, we heard heartfelt reflections on Jim's dedication to this shoreline, his love for community, and his belief that everyone deserves access to nature. The stories shared painted a picture of a person whose passion continues to shape this place and inspire those carrying the work forward.
Today, where industry once dominated the waterfront, people can walk the shoreline, connect with nature, and experience a landscape designed to support both community and wildlife.
For us, this opening was more than the celebration of a new conservation area. It was a celebration of lasting impact, and of the many partners, supporters, and champions who helped turn an ambitious idea into reality.
As visitors begin exploring new trails, making memories, and discovering this restored shoreline, Jim Tovey's legacy will continue to live on in every connection forged between people and nature.
Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this extraordinary place to life. The future it was built for starts now. ππΏ . . . .
