Big Chute Marine Railway From a Yacht | Immersive Cinematic Passage
Experience the Big Chute Marine Railway from the deck of a yacht in a way most videos never quite capture.
This video follows the full journey: the approach through the Trent-Severn Waterway, the entrance into the railway cradle, the overland ride, and the departure back into the water. Rather than adding music or heavy narration, we kept the natural soundscape intact — the quiet of the surrounding landscape, the water, the mechanical movement of the railway, and the calm instructions from the Big Chute team guiding the boat through the process.
What makes this version different is the production approach. Filmed and finished by Knot Normal Productions, the video was colour corrected, shot with a cinematic eye, and edited with clean floating DaVinci Resolve-style labeling to give the experience a polished documentary feel without taking away from the authenticity of the moment.
The Big Chute Marine Railway is already one of the most unique boating experiences in North America. This video is designed to let you feel the ride from the yacht’s perspective — slowly, quietly, and with the kind of visual detail that makes the journey feel almost unreal.
No added music. No forced drama. Just the real sound, movement, and atmosphere of one of the most remarkable passages on the Trent-Severn Waterway.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop. Put the pen down.
We created a new animated explainer video for Rent Rate Review introducing Ray — a cartoon spokesperson with one clear message: do not sign that lease without knowing what you’re walking into.
The video takes a fast, playful approach to a real problem in the rental market. Tenants want to know whether repairs will be handled. Landlords want to know whether their property will be respected. Everyone wants fewer surprises.
That’s where RentRateReview.com comes in.
Users can search honest reviews, submit rent insights, browse free property listings, and make more informed rental decisions before committing.
For Knot Normal Productions, this project was a great example of how character-driven video can bring energy, humour, and clarity to a practical service. Ray gives the message a personality, while the video keeps the call to action simple and memorable.
Review rentals. Rate landlords. Rent with confidence.
Ray’s got your back.

🚽 Toilet not flushing properly on your boat? It’s probably this…
When a vacuum flush system won’t build pressure, worn duckbill valves are often the root cause. Even a small gap can break the vacuum—leading to weak or failed flushes.
In this latest video, Knot Normal Productions takes you inside the system to show exactly what’s happening—where these valves are, how they fail, and how a quick replacement can restore proper performance.
It’s a simple fix that can save you time, frustration, and a much bigger repair.
Part of the Boat DIY & Maintenance series — real systems, real fixes.
