It's been about a month since the CCT team participated in a professional development session alongside our colleagues, friends, and community partners, but we think, it's not too late to extend our gratitude.

Thank you to Kayla Repas with Ever Active, who hosted the session "Games & Activities for Self Regulation." You provided numerous resources, hands-on experience, and opportunities for connection and joy. 🤩 Medicine Hat and surrounding areas, we really do have the best partnerships going, and CCT feels blessed because of it.🙏🌻

Even after more than 16 years as a dedicated Wellness Facilitator, Ashley Fisher continues to embrace opportunities to learn and grow. This year, she stepped outside her comfort zone by completing the extensive training required to become an accredited Roots of Empathy Instructor and then facilitated this program alongside Baby Aria and her family at St. Louis School.

Facilitating with a kindergarten age group for the first time allowed Ashley to further refine her facilitation skills, and her willingness to continue learning is something to celebrate. 🎉

Her love of building connections and serving our community shines through in everything she does, and the success of the Roots of Empathy program is a reflection of her passion and dedication, and the willingness of this family to participate.

Students learned to recognize emotions, understand the feelings of others, and develop empathy and kindness in their everyday interactions.
