Summit Service Dogs

💙 Two of the dogs in our fully trained program attended the street festival in Edmonton with their trainers. They both handled the city bus like pros and quickly tucked under the seat and settled until their stop. Walking downtown provided many great experiences including walking on different surfaces, walking down busy streets with lots of vehicle traffic and foot traffic, and working on their loose leash walk in busier environments. Once at the festival they met up with a certified team where they practised settling in crowds, watching different performers, working on food refusal and dog distractions.

🩵 It was a fun day with many different experiences and we are very proud of how they handled everything they encountered yesterday.

🎉 We had the fun opportunity to attend Telus World of Science exhibit the Dogs! A Science Tail. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us. We loved all of the questions and conversations we had throughout the day.

👏 We are very proud of our dogs who are in advance training who helped explain the role a service dog plays by demonstrating their skills and tasks. It was a very busy environment and they remained calm, focused, and on task.

🦮 We also had the pleasure of having some of our owner trained clients come where they had the opportunity to train their dogs in a new environment with lots of distractions and we had one of our fully certified dogs who graduated from our fully trained program join us as well. We loved seeing everyone who came out and can’t wait till our next event!

🎉 Join us in congratulating Wilson & Gillian on becoming a certified Facility Dog Team through our fully trained program! The sky’s the limit for these two & we can’t wait to hear about everything they accomplish together!

🩵 Wilson was puppy raised by Tyler and Lisa and adult raised by Christina and Kim. Thank you for the wonderful homes, experiences and training you all provided to Wilson during his time with you, he was very lucky to be so loved by all of you!

💙 Thank you to Peyton, Hailey, Stacey, Laurie, Lynne, and Jo for their training, guidance, knowledge, and time they dedicated to Wilson during his training journey.
