This is a time of significant change in the healthcare landscape, and we are excited at Markham Family Health Team to be embarking on a renewal of our strategic plan. The strategic plan will help us set our priorities for the next few years to ensure our work aligns with your needs. We value your feedback and invite you to work with us in shaping our organization's direction.

We are holding two focus groups to be held on November 17th from 2:00-4:30 pm or 6:00-8:30 pm.

Registration for this event will be on a first come first serve basis. Please indicate your interest in participating no later than 5 pm Friday, November 11th by email to [email protected] with your first and last name and which session you would like to attend.

Please note that these will be in person sessions to be held at the Cornell Community Center at 3201 Bur Oak Avenue.

Join us online Mon Jan 18 at 6pm, when the Markham FHT presents its 50+ Wellness Workshop! Are you age 50-69? Have you ever wondered if your health needs change after the age of 50? During this 75 min health-promotion and disease-prevention educational session, you will learn about your wellness needs after age 50, from our registered dietitian, clinical pharmacist, nurse practitioner, occupational therapist, social worker and registered nurse.
Topics include: dietary requirements after age 50, cancer screening tests, positive lifestyle changes, looking after your mental well-being, and much more!

We are happy to announce that we are extending our very popular flu clinics for one more week! Fortunately, we have received more flu vaccine from York Region Public Health and can now offer 4 more evenings of flu clinics starting the week of Nov 16 and running nightly at our CORNELL location 5:30 - 7:45pm until Thurs Nov 19. You can book your flu shot appointment online or call 905.471.9999. Please note that due to overwhelming interest in flu shots, increased wait time on the phone may occur. Online booking is quick and easy! You must be a patient of Markham FHT to access the clinic. High dose flu vaccine for seniors available while quantities last.
