The Boat Shed Drop – A Feat of Engineering and Teamwork

Some projects stand out not just for their scale but for the sheer coordination and precision required to pull them off. One such project was the 90-foot-long, 35-foot-tall boat shed we built – and then dropped into the water under the Ironworkers Bridge.

Built by Alantra Construction, this structure was no small undertaking. It took careful planning, skilled craftsmanship, and, ultimately, two massive cranes to lift and lower it into place. Watching it transition from land to water was an unforgettable moment – a true display of engineering coming to life.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project happen. Seeing it floating in place is a testament to what can be achieved with expertise, teamwork, and a bold vision.
