"What about that tattoo on your chest? Doesn't it say Die Job Die?"
I remember the night clearly when my dear sweet boy, , showed me this design that the immensely talented helped draw up from his fever dream Simpsons mash-up idea a few months back
He showed it to me on his phone, on the outskirts of the dancefloor at Red Gate between bands setting up
I can recall the look on his face, in the dim glow, after I looked up from huddling over his screen
"Do you get it?", he asked, nervously
"YES!", I resoundingly replied, and proceeded to tell him how much I loved the idea
"Do you think other people will get it?", he shyly responded, uncertain of the viability of his new shirt concept
I don't recall the exact words that I used to reply, but I'm fairly certain it was along the lines of:
"If they don't, are they even worth having as fans?"
Seeing them now, brought to life in the real world these handful of weeks later, I stand by that statement
You can get these brilliant one color beauties tonight, at or at any of the upcoming shows, that i'll be sharing a stage with these defenders of the lazing class, all throughout March

"Well, you can do what you like. We're not gonna give up hope"
The Brave Little Toaster was one of my favorite cartoons as a child
The story of anthropomorphic household appliances going on an epic adventure of discovery, hope and a search for meaning in an ever evolving world really struck a chord with my young mind
Even if some of the deeper themes didn't all resonate with me on the surface, their morals and meanings dug down into the subconscious; planting little seeds there that stuck with me as I grew
So when an art file came across my inbox labelled with this childhood love, I got extremely excited
What would it be? Would all the characters be there: Radio, Lampy, Blanky or maybe just Toaster? Regardless, I was excited to see what artist rendition of my old friends I would be getting to print with
However, while what I found wasn't the fabled animated appliances of my youth, the results still made me smile
The fact that on some level, my client (ironically also named John, and also a memory from my youth) had obviously seen and been inspired by that same childhood film, made me more than happy to help get these loving tributes to his own beloved machine made
All of which is to say, uhmmm, yeah, custom sublimated embroidery patches. We do that....
And we can put em on hats for you too
