Truth and Reconciliation day marks an important point in Canada's modern history.

After years of neglecting the nation's indigenous population, steps have finally been taken to work towards reconciliation and justice for the discrimination indigenous peoples have faced throughout Canadian history.

Although we are grateful to have this Friday away from school, we urge you to spend some time to think about why.
