What does your alternator do?
Your alternator charges the battery and powers many of your vehicle’s electrical systems while the engine is running.
Signs it may need attention:

A weak alternator can sometimes leave you stranded with a vehicle that won’t start, even if the battery itself is good.

It’s a simple feature that can save you from pulling up to the wrong side of the pump, especially when driving a rental or a vehicle, you’re not used to.
