Flashback 2 is an ongoing installation piece that I will continue to work on until I am content with how big it will be. I put it up as part of my first , after the original plan for it fell through. It was rejected for a grant proposal and after feeling blue about it, I was like, "hey, a platform is a platform and no one knows the original plan except you, so make it., you have a window or it anyway." This is a memorable moment of 2024 for me...

Jewellery making was my gateway art. I remember watching this young girl making a set in front of me, and I was hooked. Got up a few days later, entered Balogun market in Lagos, got my tools and started making my set. I even got accepted for an exhibition, and my Dad was my biggest client. He bought a set each for the important women in his life...he bought a lot😁.
I still make Jewellery, but mainly commissions or a quick set like this one. I made these earrings cos I love the alphabet beads, and it's a fun way to wear them and also fun activity to do with friends if you are looking for a fun event. Send me a dm and we can work out a craftivity on it.
