What's in my bag? Therapist & mom edition ๐Ÿ‘œ

Summer outings with a toddler are a whole production โ€” and honestly, being prepared is the thing that keeps me regulated just as much as it keeps my daughter
regulated. ๐Ÿ˜…

Here's what's always with us:

๐Ÿงด Diaper changing pouch โ€” diapers, wipes, rash cream. Always.

๐Ÿฅ• Snacks โ€” low sugar, high nutrition, a little tupperware, and everyone's mood improves

๐Ÿ‘™ Swimwear โ€” because plans change and a prepared mind is a flexible mind

๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Sunglasses โ€” for both of us, obviously

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Fidgets & activities โ€” colouring books and small toys do more for anxiety than we give them credit for

๐Ÿ’ง Reusable water bottle โ€” packed with ice because cold water is genuinely a nervous system reset

The therapist in me knows that regulation starts with the basics. The mom in me knows that a snack and a change of scenery can turn a whole day around. ๐ŸŒฟ

Therapy is one hour a week. The other 167 hours? That's where the real work happens.
Growth doesn't pause when the session ends, and you don't have to white-knuckle it until your next appointment. These are small, doable ways to stay connected to yourself in between.
