What's in my bag? Therapist & mom edition ๐
Summer outings with a toddler are a whole production โ and honestly, being prepared is the thing that keeps me regulated just as much as it keeps my daughter
regulated. ๐
Here's what's always with us:
๐งด Diaper changing pouch โ diapers, wipes, rash cream. Always.
๐ฅ Snacks โ low sugar, high nutrition, a little tupperware, and everyone's mood improves
๐ Swimwear โ because plans change and a prepared mind is a flexible mind
๐ถ๏ธ Sunglasses โ for both of us, obviously
๐๏ธ Fidgets & activities โ colouring books and small toys do more for anxiety than we give them credit for
๐ง Reusable water bottle โ packed with ice because cold water is genuinely a nervous system reset
The therapist in me knows that regulation starts with the basics. The mom in me knows that a snack and a change of scenery can turn a whole day around. ๐ฟ

Therapy is one hour a week. The other 167 hours? That's where the real work happens.
Growth doesn't pause when the session ends, and you don't have to white-knuckle it until your next appointment. These are small, doable ways to stay connected to yourself in between.
Save this one. You might need it on a Tuesday at 2pm when things feel heavy and your next session feels far away. ๐ค
