Accessibility in Action ♿✨

Creating an inclusive community means making real, tangible improvements across our services. Here’s a few examples of the work underway at Middlesex County.

At the Library 📖

• Decodable books and dementia-friendly collections support a wider range of reading needs
• Cognitive Care Kits are available to borrow for individuals and caregivers
• Accessible computer workstations and quiet meeting pods help ensure everyone can comfortably use library spaces

On Middlesex County Connect 🚌
• All buses are fully accessible, with ramps, lifts, and designated wheelchair spaces
• Riders can board at a safe, accessible location if a stop is temporarily unavailable
• Support persons ride free when assistance is required, and service animals are always welcome
• Trips can be booked through the app or by phone helping ensure access for those who prefer personal assistance
