Coming this October: A new way to help us respond to the patients who need us most.

Every call to 9-1-1 matters.

This fall, MLPS will begin using the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) - an internationally recognized system that helps Emergency Medical Dispatchers better assess medical emergencies and prioritize the most life-threatening calls.

As demand for paramedic services continues to grow, MPDS will help ensure ambulances are available for patients with the most urgent medical needs while continuing to provide care for everyone who calls.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about what this means for our community and how it will help us continue delivering the right care at the right time.
