Do you ever feel guilty or “lazy” about taking rest? Ugh 😒
Since I started my quest for more rest, I’ve come across some amazing ideas and perceptions about resting.
Rest is a natural part of being. And most of are “doing” faaaar more than we’re resting. Which means we’re operating in a constant deficit. And our mind, body and soul doesn’t like that. They’ll try to keep up, but ultimately something will crash.
One innovative idea about rest came from listening to specifically a podcast with
Taking rest as an act of resisting grind culture. 🤯
Now, When I feel guilty for resting, I think about the stance I’m taking against a culture that tells me I’m only worthy or productive as long as I’m “doing”. For a long time I believed this. Conditioning.
It’s taken a lot of Self-Compassion and Mindfulness to make changes that reflect a more rested and healthier lifestyle. And not everyone will get it, that’s ok. It’s my journey, they have their own. 💚
