Fountain Flat Trading Post

Well, that was an unexpected Sunday morning!
I was just sitting down with my coffee when the Trading Post called...A bus full of people coming back from a Sundance and heading home to Pelican Rapids had somehow managed to leave... one of their passengers behind.
I figured they'd realize pretty quickly, so I drove him to Cache Creek to wait. Nope.
Then we headed to Hat Creek Ranch. Still nothing...No one was answering phones, Facebook messages, or smoke signals. To make things even more interesting, his cell phone was on the bus!
After tracking down his grandma, she managed to find someone who had the driver's number. Success!... except by then the bus was already in Kamloops.
So off we went again, this time to Big Sky to meet the bus.
I'm still amazed nobody noticed he was missing. The person sitting beside him didn't say anything, his buddy wasn't on the bus, and apparently nobody thought, "Hey... aren't we supposed to have one more person?" I guess everyone was just so excited to get home that somebody forgot to do a head count!
By the end of it, I figured I was living through the plot of the next great Indigenous road-trip movie. Move over Smoke Signals... this one's called Missed Signals.
