It’s THAT time of the year again!
Whoop up Days are coming up (August 18-22) and we are having a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast from 8-10 AM on Wednesday August 19th on the Lealta Building Supplies Parking Lot. Cost will be $5.00pp with all proceeds to support the work we do, providing hot/ nutritious meals to our unhoused neighbours.

“Tonight we served supper to 211 guests. We had a wonderful group of volunteers helping, including some who were volunteering for the first time and others who have helped before.
As the meal coordinator, I am so thankful for everyone who gave their time to help.
Tonight’s meal was meatballs with mushroom gravy over rice, a fresh strawberry salad with greens, and homemade apple crisp for dessert.
Many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the meal, and that always means so much. Thank you to all of our volunteers for making tonight such a great success”!

I’ve got some good news for our volunteers and staff… the kind folks at Streets Alive have made a portion of their parking lot available for us to use Monday to Saturday for the lunch and evening shift. I’ve included a few photos but for information the entrance is on the West side of their building and the parking spots (12-15 +) are located to your immediate left when going thru the gate.
