☀️April is Rosacea Awareness Month☀️
What is rosacea?

Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects three million Canadians. Experts suspect that rosacea is under-diagnosed and that many people are unaware that they have it. It often begins with a tendency to blush frequently. Over time, persistent red patches appear on the cheeks and nose. The chin, forehead and neck may also be affected.

The visible effects of rosacea, such as facial redness, visible blood vessels and, in some cases, pimples, can lead to low self-esteem, embarrassment, frustration and social anxiety.

Good daily skin care can help restore the protective properties of the skin barrier to minimize irritation and redness.

Choose a gentle cleanser that is labelled "for sensitive skin". (Guinot Hydra Sensitive Milk)

After cleansing, apply a moisturizer. Choose a moisturizer that is fragrance-free and labeled "for sensitive skin" (Guinot Hydra Sensitive Cream, Guinot Red Logic Cream).

A good night's sleep will help your skin regenerate better. Here's a routine to help you sleep better.

During the night :

Avoid screens 60 minutes before going to bed.
Charge your phone outside the bedroom.
Make sure the room is at a stable temperature.
Try an eye mask and earplugs.
Darken your room.

Upon awakening :

Let in some natural light.
Use a clock radio (and avoid snooze!)
Plan a healthy breakfast.
Have some water.
Stretch and get active.
