We are proud to share that the Upper Skeena Recreation Centre received the 2026 Bill Woycik Outstanding Facility Award from RFABC this past week. This award honours spaces that truly belong to their communities. The Upper Skeena Recreation Centre was created to be welcoming, supportive, and connected, reflecting its positive impact on users. It serves families, seniors, youth, teams, and individuals as a hub for recreation, wellness, and connection. This recognition truly highlights the wonderful care, teamwork, and community input that all came together to shape the facility for local needs.

The award is for the community of Hazelton and the surrounding areas. Thank you to RFABC for this honour and to residents, users, staff, volunteers, and partners who bring the centre to life every single day.
