What happens when your instructor is still deeply connected to the profession they teach?

For Environmental Sciences instructor and program chair Gordon Cox, it means students are learning from someone actively involved in conservation enforcement through industry events, professional networks and his work with the North American Game Warden Museum.

A graduate of Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Bachelor of Applied Conservation Enforcement program, Gordon draws on years of field experience with Environment Canada to bring current industry perspectives directly into the classroom.
“Staying current in the industry allows me to provide the best information to students.”

Whether through conservation enforcement functions, coaching ringette or mentoring future officers, Gordon says staying engaged helps him continue making a difference while preparing the next generation of environmental professionals.
