Our Spring Artist Application Deadline is just around the corner! 🌷✨

AAC Works is currently accepting applications from artists looking to join our creative community, with our next intake deadline coming up on Friday, May 15.

For this intake, we are especially seeking:
✨Blown glass
✨Jewelry
✨Textile-based work

👉 Good news — we are accepting applications for 2D work, including paintings, prints, and other wall-mounted pieces.

📌 Please note:
This will likely be our only opportunity this year for 2D submissions, with the next possible intake not expected until Spring 2027.

Applying is simple:

2️⃣ Complete the online application
3️⃣ Email photos of your work to [email protected]

Today we’re highlighting “Laugh” by Annae Jones — an acrylic painting on wood panel.

What do we love most about this piece? Annae’s signature use of round panels, paired with her soft, joyful colour palette, creates a piece that feels both playful and heartfelt. It would make such a lovely Mother’s Day gift! 💐

This is one of the smaller works in Annae’s Featured Artist collection, which also means it likely won’t stay on our walls for long.

That’s right… AAC Works is turning LUCKY NUMBER 7! ✨

On May 6, 2019, we opened our doors with a vision: to create a space that supports local artists through retail sales. We started with 15 incredible artists who believed in our vision — and seven amazing years later, we’re now proudly representing 85 local artists in-store! 🧡

Over the years, we’ve:
🎨 Supported 100+ local artists
👋 Welcomed some truly wonderful staff along the way
🏡 Built a creative community space that we’re incredibly proud of

Honestly, the years have flown by because we’ve been having SO much fun. And none of it would have been possible without all of you — our artists, shoppers, supporters, and community cheerleaders. Thank you for being part of the AAC Works story these past seven years!
