Today, I am sending all of my love and support to all of you 💓 respecting the fact that this day of celebration, reflection, and assorted emotions may elicit a wide range of feelings and experiences. And that is okay 🫂
I hope these poems can bring you some comfort ♥️

According to my Facebook Business Suite, I haven’t posted in 736 days…
And do you want to know what thought ran through my mind for a minute or two?
“I’m not doing enough”
I sat with that thought for a bit and realized that’s the furthest thing from true.
I’m doing more than enough. I will admit, my planned intentional dis-connection from social media lasted much longer than I had anticipated. But the last 736 days have been filled with living my life, building my business, and choosing not to do so behind a screen.
So I wanted to share some of what I’ve been up to in that time in case social media has made you too feel like you’re not doing “enough”.
•I’ve been surviving. Showering, drinking water, feeding myself healthy meals, taking supplements, walking outdoors with my dogs, connecting with loved ones, and tending to my mental health and nervous system💓
•I’ve been processing the political landscapes of our world and trying to hold space for all the hurt, change, and uncertainty 👀
•I walked 23 lovely souls through the Grief Recovery Method as they processed their losses 💜
•I got married to the love of my life of 9 years 💍
•I experienced immense grief for the community of Jasper and the land after the devastating 2024 wildfires - in addition to grieving the fact I had to replan our entire dream wedding in 1.5 months that was supposed to take place there🌲
•I had to navigate the loss of my grandfather Harry, my last remaining grandparent who taught me so much and was a big part of my life 💔
•I attended my first large-scale community event in Edmonton and presented on Grief and Loss despite being incredibly nervous 👩🏻🏫
•I began contracting for two psychologists in Edmonton, offering Grief Recovery services and was able to expand my client reach and support grievers in a new location💓
•I applied to grad school to finally begin my Master of Counselling Psychology and got accepted and start in October📓
•I completed the 3 year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training program and underwent the most transformative process of understanding the Nervous System and learning new ways to work with trauma and regulate my own body🧡
•I started working for 12 hours a week at a shelter for teen girls struggling with sexual exploitation and teach them about harm reduction and safe relationships ✨
I almost let a “meaningless” number bring me down…but as it turns out, I needed to see that number to force myself to reflect. And ended up feeling immensely proud, grateful, and relieved.
With all that being said, I do miss many aspects of being active on social media. The community I managed to create when I was active is really beautiful. So I won’t be forcing myself to engage, but rather engaging when it feels good for me to do so.
I’m looking so forward to connecting with you all again☺️ thank you for still being here-it means more than you know♥️
