Let’s talk blackheads!

Blackheads form when a clog or plug develops in the opening of hair follicles in your skin. Each follicle contains one hair and a sebaceous gland that produces oil. This oil, called sebum, helps keep your skin soft.

Dead skin cells and oils collect in the opening to the skin follicle, producing a bump called a comedo. If the skin over the bump stays closed, the bump is called a whitehead. When the skin over the bump opens, exposure to the air causes it to look black and a blackhead forms.

Situation: My client here is a young men of 18 years old, he has an oily skin. He play soccer.
He doesn’t understand why he has an outbreak on his forehead suddenly..

Diagnostic:
After the consultation, we were able to identify several causes! Very often, our skin type goes hand in hand with our hair type. In this case, my client has oily skin and so does his hair. He always has hair on his forehead. He also attends physical training sessions where he sweats a lot. All that buildup of oil and dirt contributes to the formation of blackheads. And also, my client admits that he doesn’t have any skincare routine.

Treatment:
We did a double cleanse and deep extraction of all the blackheads. The key part was the Chemical Peel, the acid solution is applied in to the face to melt away dead skin cells, taking uneven skin tone!
