One tiny broken connector can stop an entire industrial drone from working.

This custom-built drone came in for board-level repair after one of its connectors was damaged. Under the microscope, we removed the broken connector, cleaned the pads, and soldered a new one back in place.

If your business uses drones for window cleaning, inspection, filming, mapping, transport, or industrial work, don’t replace expensive parts before getting them checked.

At FixMoi, we repair electronics at board level.

Before buying a new speaker, check this first 🔋

This Bose SoundLink Mini came in because the battery wasn’t holding a charge anymore. We replaced the battery, cleaned the inside, checked the connections, and completed the Bose firmware update so the speaker could properly recognize and charge with the new battery.

A lot of speakers get replaced too quickly when they could still be repaired.

Bring it to FixMoi — we’ll check it properly and tell you honestly if it’s worth fixing.

This Kobo looked like it was dead… but the real issue was a tiny broken power button.

The button wasn’t clicking, wasn’t bouncing back, and once opened, it came right off the board. We cleaned the area, replaced the button, reassembled the Kobo, and got it working again.

Before you replace your device, let us check if it can be repaired.

Broken HDMI port on a Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU repaired in-house 🔧

A lot of shops won’t touch GPU board repairs, but this is exactly the kind of work we do at FixMoi.

Yes, the client could have used DisplayPort — but he specifically wanted the HDMI port fixed, so that’s what we did.

Before replacing your graphics card, let us check if it can be repaired.

I’ve been using the iFixit Mako Driver Kit for years, and it’s still one of my favourite tools in the shop.

Phones, consoles, laptops, controllers — this kit covers almost everything I open daily.

This iPhone 15 Pro Max came in with a cracked screen after being dropped.

The customer needed to return the phone to Rogers under contract, so the goal was simple: make the device functional, clean, and return-ready without overspending on a screen that wasn’t necessary for this situation.

Not every repair needs the most expensive option. Sometimes, the smart option is the one that makes the most sense.

Two years without cleaning almost cooked this gaming laptop.

Dust-packed fans, dry thermal paste, and oxidized liquid metal on the CPU. We cleaned everything properly and reapplied fresh thermal material using PolarTronix Liquid Metal and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme.

Real repairs. Real overheating problems. Real results.

This Surface Pro came back for the 4th time because the touch stopped registering properly again.
That’s exactly why a lot of shops don’t like working on Microsoft Surface Pros. They’re thin, fragile, glued together, and sometimes even after a screen replacement, issues can come back.
But this client has been with us since we opened, and she has always been patient and kind with us. So we stood behind our warranty, replaced the panel again, and tested everything carefully before giving it back.
Repair work is not always about the easiest job. Sometimes it’s about taking care of the people who trusted you.

This Xbox Series X came in with no HDMI signal, but the repair turned into more than just replacing the HDMI port.
We found a broken port, lots of dust, dry thermal paste, and even the Project Scarlett Easter egg on the CPU — Microsoft’s original codename for the Xbox Series X.
HDMI repaired, console cleaned, thermal paste replaced, and ready to game again.
