The older I get, the less impressed I am by busy women.

I’m impressed by women who have peace.

Women who can close the laptop and be present.

Women who don’t wear exhaustion like a badge of honour.

Women who have built lives that have room to breathe.

Because for years, I thought the goal was to prove I could do it all.

Now?

I want capacity.
I want peace.
I want leveraged income.
I want flexibility.
I want ownership over my time.
I want systems that support my life.

And I know I’m not the only one.

I believe there are women reading this who don’t need convincing that they want more.

They just need permission to explore a different way of getting there.

Almost took the leap.
Almost said yes.

I am going to say something your comfort zone is not going to like.

You are not being careful.
You are being comfortable.
And comfortable is the most dangerous place a visionary can live.

Because here is what comfortable looks like in twenty years.
Same alarm.
Same grind.
Same conversation about someday.
Same dream sitting in the same place you left it. Collecting dust next to every “almost” you ever had.

💰We will finance trucks, brand new iPhones, furniture, and storage units filled with stuff we forget we even own.
💰We will spend thousands on vacations.
And we will hand our best hours to someone else’s vision without a second thought.

But invest in ourselves?
Suddenly we need a sign from God and a financial advisor and three months to think about it.

I’m not throwing shade, but I know from experience that the next level of your life is going to come through someone bold enough to call you higher.

Now for a little truth bomb Thursday because I respect you too much to coddle you:

🚨You cannot build a seven figure life with a seven dollar mindset.

The risk was never the investment.

✨The risk is staying exactly where you are and calling it safe.
✨The risk is your kids watching you talk about your dreams and never chase them.
✨The risk is forty years from now realizing that “almost” was the most expensive word in your vocabulary.
✨ The risk is you holding yourself accountable to show up and put in the work.

The people who change their lives are not the ones who had more money or more time or more perfect circumstances.

They are the ones who decided that staying the same was scarier than taking the leap.

I am not here to convince you.
That is the beautiful thing about this online space. People sort themselves.

At some point you have to decide what gets the final vote. Fear or Faith.

I’m going to be honest with you.

There was a season where I looked up and realized the oilfield had more of my husband than we did. More of his time. More of his energy. More of him.

Watching her realize she doesn’t have to keep doing it this way. Getting to hand her hope when she didn’t even know it was available. Showing her that her family under one roof doesn’t have to stay the plan that never actually happens.

Because that’s what this is really about. Family. Time. Choices.

👀 Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from a lot of different leaders.

Some exceptional.

Some influential.

Some highly successful.

And some who simply knew how to gather a crowd.

The longer I’m around leadership, the more I realize those aren’t always the same thing.

Because leadership isn’t measured by how many people follow you.

It’s revealed by how you steward the people entrusted to you.

I’ve watched leaders build impressive platforms while treating people like transactions.

I’ve watched others quietly invest in people, call them higher, challenge their thinking, celebrate their growth, and genuinely care about who they were becoming.

One leaves people feeling like a number.

The other leaves people transformed.

And I think that’s where leadership reveals its true nature.

Leadership reveals whether you see people as assets to leverage or lives to develop.

One extracts.

The other invests.

One measures value by contribution.

The other recognizes potential.

One asks, “What can this person do for me?”

The other asks, “What can I help this person become?”

The fruit of those two approaches looks very different over time.

People flourish where they are valued.

They flourish where they are challenged.

They flourish where they are encouraged.

They flourish where someone sees more in them than they can currently see in themselves.

I’ve experienced that firsthand.

And it’s one of the reasons I believe leadership is less about position and more about stewardship.

This principle extends far beyond leadership.

It touches our voice.

Our story.

Our gifts.

Our business.

Our finances.

Our marriage.

Our influence.

It’s easy to view these things as something we’ve earned, built, or possess.

❔Yet I find myself coming back to a different question:

What if these things have been entrusted to us?

Because when something is entrusted to you, it carries responsibility.

✨A story becomes more than a collection of experiences.

It becomes wisdom that can shorten someone else’s learning curve.

✨Influence becomes more than visibility.

It becomes an opportunity to shape lives.

✨Business becomes more than income.

It becomes a vehicle to solve problems, create value, and leave people better than you found them.

The greatest leaders I’ve encountered understood this.

✨They saw people.

Not prospects.

✨They saw potential.

Not production.

✨They were committed to developing people.

That’s the kind of leadership that leaves a lasting imprint long after the conversation is over.

The kind that calls people higher.

The kind that expands what’s possible in their minds.

The kind that reminds them they’re capable of more than they’ve settled for.

Choosing who influences that growth is ours too 🤍

There is something incredibly powerful about living a life that reflects your values instead of your circumstances.

Most people don’t realize how much of their life is being shaped by stories they never consciously chose.

Stories like:

“That’s just the season I’m in.”

“Maybe when the kids are older.”

“I can’t afford it.”

“I don’t have the time right now.”

The interesting thing about those stories is that they often start as circumstances.

Then, over time, they become identities.

And once something becomes part of your identity, you stop questioning it.

🚨You stop asking yourself what you actually want.

🚨You stop exploring what’s possible.

🚨You stop noticing opportunities because you’ve already decided they don’t fit your life.

I think one of the most important things I’ve learned is that circumstances can explain where you are.

Every meaningful change in my life started long before anything looked different on the outside.

It started the moment I stopped treating my current reality as evidence of what was possible for me.

That’s when different decisions became available.

And different decisions have a way of creating different lives 🤍
