Today we were honoured to welcome Lacombe Trustee Paula Law from the Wolf Creek School Division to Echo Food Rescue as she presented us with the Friends of Wolf Creek Award in recognition of our School Food Program.
It was a pleasure to show you around and give you a firsthand look at what happens here every day. From rescuing good food that would otherwise go to waste to helping support local schools and families, we’re proud of the work our volunteers do each day.
Thank you, Paula, for taking the time to visit and learn more about our mission. We truly appreciate the recognition and the support from the Wolf Creek School Division. This award belongs to our incredible volunteers and community partners who make our School Food Program possible. 💚

We rescued an absolutely incredible amount of food today, more than 4,500 pounds! 🍎🍌🥕🥔
We’ve got tons of fruit and plenty of other great food available, but we need your help to make sure every bit of it finds a good home and ends up on someone’s plate instead of going to waste.
