As the dust settles on an incredible weekend of WFTDA Regional Playoffs Ontario, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event possible.
To the skaters who left everything on the track, thank you for your passion, dedication, and unforgettable performances.
To the referees and non-skating officials, thank you for your professionalism, expertise, and countless hours of work that keep our sport running smoothly.
To our volunteers, thank you for showing up with enthusiasm, flexibility, and endless support. This event simply could not happen without you.
To our announcers, thank you for bringing the excitement, energy, and stories of our sport to life.
To our vendors, thank you for helping create a vibrant and welcoming event experience for everyone who attended.
And to every fan who filled the stands, cheered until your voices were gone, streamed games, shared posts, and supported the athletes and officials throughout the weekend thank you. Your energy is what makes roller derby so special.
Hosting this tournament was an honour, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a passionate, talented, and supportive community. We hope everyone left Waterloo with great memories, new friendships, and a renewed love for roller derby.

Have you been thinking about trying roller derby or learning to skate? Now’s the time to jump in 🛼💥
Tri-City Roller Derby’s 10-week Foundations Learn to Skate program begins on **May 21st** and is open to adults 18+ of all skill levels — even if you’ve never skated before!
📅 Thursdays from 7:00pm–9:00pm
📍 Don McLaren Arena
💲 $100 for the full 10-week program (+ service fees)
🛡️ WFTDI insurance required: $50/year
Tri-City proudly welcomes all athletes who most closely identify with women’s roller derby regardless of gender identity 💙
Required gear includes quad skates, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and a mouth guard. Bring a water bottle, athletic clothes, and be ready to learn something new!
