A new driver-owned food delivery service is now operating in Guelph.

Direct Local Eats is a food delivery service that operates through a fair partnership with local restaurants/food vendors and drivers in each city. With only a 5% service fee (which is on average 4-5 times lower than the competitors), this enables businesses to offer lower menu prices to their customers, who in turn save up to 20% by ordering through Direct Local Eats. Drivers also keep 90% of the delivery fee.

Direct Local Eats supports local communities by allowing more money to stay with local businesses and delivery drivers, while consumers enjoy top quality service (where the drivers actually care!).

Just a reminder the annual Project runs tomorrow through Oct. 3. On Fridays and Saturdays, the intersection of Wyndham/Macdonell will be closed to vehicles from 10pm-4am. Vehicles parked in the closed areas will be towed. -st
