I just got my latest NG Traveler in the mail today....good thing everything I planned to do today can be procrastinated. How fabulous does this issue look? Time to sit on the deck and read.

Ok...update. The #6 Sonic Wonder on National Geographic‘s list is a Sea Organ in Zadar, Croatia. I stood on the steps of that organ almost exactly one year ago! It made such a hauntingly beautiful sound. And not only was the Sea Organ a musical highlight, but on our way from parking our car and heading down to the Adriatic where the Sea Organ is found, we heard a familiar hymn tune in the distance. We followed our ears and as we got closer we approached a church that had an epic organ playing “Holy God We Laud Thy Name” and a congregation singing it in beautiful harmony in Croatian. We popped in to the back of the church and finished the service with them. We sang along in English and were in awe at the beauty that filled our eyes AND our ears! It was an amazing experience.

I didn’t expect someone to keep a napkin from the recital and play it! What a great idea!

Thank you Michelle! I know this to be true too!! This should be enlarged and placed in music studios everywhere.
