Last day in Maasai Mara had us up at 4:30 and out of our tents as the adjacent river crested its banks. Shortly after sunrise as the water continued to rise, we decided it was time to leave. Thanks to the crew and for the quick thinking and getting us out safely

The price of green coffee (commodity grade) has reached historic levels. This time last year coffee futures were trading at $US 1.90/lb. On Tuesday they reached $US 4.25/lb

For our Specialty coffee we frequently paid 2 or 3 times the historic commodity coffee price.

Sure, I love coffee, but I have a weakness for earl grey tea with a bit of honey. And through the friendships I’ve made in coffee, I’ve been lucky to try honeys from coffee regions around the world. This one’s almost gone, a lovely dark honey from Uganda and .harvest . Bees that live their lives amongst banana blossoms and other fruits make this one of the loveliest honeys I have ever tasted.
