Spring is officially here....at 11:06 PM EST that is!

The first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere is marked by something known as the Vernal Equinox. This is when the position of the sun is EXACTLY over the Equator, and the hours of daylight are equal almost everywhere on Earth.

After 11:06 PM EST, the Earth will continue its orbit around the sun, in which the position of the sun will slowly move further up into the Northern Hemisphere. As a result, the days in the Northern Hemisphere will get longer, the temperatures warmer, and before you know it, it will be Summer!
