Detritus Consulting is currently hiring staff for the 2019 field season.

Location: Based out of Hamilton, Ontario

Employment Term: Seasonal contract, Monday to Friday - Weather Dependant.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications. Range $0.00-0.00hr

Position Requirements: Applicants must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks such as walking long distances (20km + a day) and hand excavation, in adverse weather and terrain.

Knowledge of archaeology or archaeological field methods is not required for this position. Training in field methods and identifying artifacts recovered in the field will be provided for the right candidates.

Preferred Applicants will

Have or be in the process of completing a BA in Archaeology or a closely related field

Sussecfully completed an archaeological field school

Have a G Licence and access to their own vehicle

Responsibilities: Fieldwalking, test-pit surveys, hand excavation and screening of archaeological units.
