Conestoga culinary and baking students at Bloom restaurant helped prepare 2,000 portions of vegetarian chili as part of this year’s La Tablée des Chefs initiative, which mobilizes teachers and culinary students to help combat food insecurity in communities across Canada.
Around 1,600 portions were donated to the Cambridge Food Bank, with the remaining meals distributed to students at Conestoga’s Kitchener - Doon and Waterloo campuses through Bloom restaurant and Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI).

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, providing an opportunity to recognize, honour and learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
In 2026, Canadians are encouraged to get involved and show support by engaging with Indigenous stories, traditions and cultures; exploring the past and how it shapes the present; and learning more about present-day communities.
