Welcoming Community Leaders to Support Home Begins Here

We were pleased to welcome Councillor Stephanie Stretch, Ward 10 City of Kitchener, to Reception House Waterloo Region for a conversation about Home Begins Here, our transformational affordable housing initiative for newcomers and refugee families. Stephanie Stretch currently serves as Ward 10 Councillor and has a longstanding commitment to affordable housing, community development, and supporting diverse communities in Kitchener.

During the visit, we shared how Home Begins Here will provide safe, stable, and affordable housing, helping newcomer families build strong foundations as they begin their lives in Canada. We are grateful for the opportunity to discuss the urgent need for affordable housing and the positive impact this project will have on individuals, families, and our community as a whole.
