The image before you was recently captured by Lone Drone Solutions Inc. during one of our inspections and illustrates a classic challenge in industrial asset management: inspecting extensive, linear infrastructure spanning diverse and often remote terrains. The conventional approach has been both resource-intensive and economically inefficient.

However, a significant regulatory evolution is on the horizon. As of November 4, 2025, Transport Canada's new framework will permit lower-risk BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations for properly certified pilots. This policy change represents more than an incremental update—it's a paradigm shift for how we manage and maintain critical infrastructure.

This new capability will enable fundamental re-engineering of operational workflows, particularly in energy and transportation sectors. Strategic deployment of autonomous drones will allow organizations to:

Drastically enhance operational efficiency: Replace high-cost, high-risk manual inspections with scalable, automated solutions.
