Arsenic is a toxic element that is used in the manufacturing of certain ammunition to create a harder, rounder bullet. Like lead, fine particles of arsenic can become airborne when firing ammunition containing the element.

Exposure to arsenic, primarily through ingestion or inhalation, can lead to a range of health issues including skin lesions, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, and an increased risk of various cancers.

The TR2 tactical respirator filters ≥99% of solid airborne particulates including arsenic down to 0.06μm, as well as 97% of oil-based particles down to 0.3μm.
