From Scratch Custom Cakes

I don't just make cakes...
..I made a baby girl from scratch!

Last year at 1:12am on February 4, our darling Juniper Helena was born and placed into my arms. It was the day my heart was no longer only in my chest, or on my sleeve, but completely in the palm of her hand thenceforth.

Juniper, you were born with a squished face and a pointy head. You had big feet with little toes. You were and still are so so so perfect. You have always screamed when you're excited and you snuggle up real close when you feel upset. Your personality is incredible and your happiness simply radiates onto everyone who makes your acquaintance. You opened up a whole new range of emotions that I never knew I could feel. You make me completely embody my zodiac sign of a fiercely proud and protective lioness mother.

I love you with every fibre of my heart, with my entire being and with the whole depths of my very soul.

Happy Birthday Dear Juniper!

Homemade salted chocolate-covered caramel marshmallows!

Perfect mix of sweet and salty. They're not perfect looking by any means due to time constraints, but man are they delicious!

My friend Zachary graciously made the trip from Cobourg to Kingston for 3 cakes from us which not only brightened his day but also his friends and family and especially mine.

Kara's 1st birthday cake and smash cake. Top tier is vanilla with buttcream icing, middle tier is chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing, and bottom tier is marble with vanilla buttercream.

Smash cake is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling and vanilla buttercream rosettes.

I also included a photo of darling Kara enjoying her cake. What a beautiful baby girl! I just love her to bits!

A very big thank you to my brother Devon for all his help, my in-laws for the use of their kitchen this weekend, and especially my husband Josh for all the help with our daughter during one rough week of teething and late late nights, lots and lots of dishes and of course for being so supportive and helpful to me while I had four cakes orders to fulfill. You guys are amazing and I love you all so much. I couldn't do this with out you.
