Behind every beautiful finished home is a phase like this: dust, debris, and uncovering decades of old construction so we can rebuild with intention..the right way.
Whole home renovations are about more than new finishes. They’re a chance to correct past issues, improve functionality, strengthen the structure, and create a home that works better for the people living in it.
Good construction starts long before the cabinetry and paint go in. It starts here.
Not all insulation details are created equal.
At our Deep Cove - North Vancouver lift project, the team is preparing the slab with insulation detailing tied into the ICF foundation to help reduce thermal bridging and create a more continuous building envelope.
Thermal bridging happens when heat transfers through materials like concrete or framing, allowing energy to escape through weak points in the structure. By focusing on these connection points early in construction, we can improve the overall efficiency and long-term performance of the home.
This is especially important in West Coast homes, where we design and build for a climate that sees a lot of moisture, temperature swings, and extended rainy seasons. A well-insulated and properly detailed building envelope can help improve interior comfort, reduce condensation risk, and lower overall energy consumption year-round.
These aren’t the flashy parts of a build, but they’re some of the most important. The best-performing homes are built on thoughtful details, many of which are hidden behind the walls and beneath the slab.
Lifting an entire home isn’t just a big moment, it’s a highly coordinated process.
We carefully raised the structure, excavated and rebuilt the foundation beneath it, and then set the home back down with precision.
Every step is engineered, planned, and executed by the right team.
It might look intense..and it is.
But with experience, it’s also completely controlled. It makes all the difference.

We’re currently in the final stages of the foundation of our NV lift project, marking a major milestone in the structural transformation of this home.
With demolition nearly complete, we’re transitioning out of the deconstruction phase and into the build phase, where precision, planning, and craftsmanship take center stage.
It’s at this point in the construction process that the vision truly begins to materialize, and the home starts to take on its new form, scale, and architectural identity.
You’re going to want to follow along for this project!
Built with the right equipment,
There’s a big difference between getting the job done and getting it done right, and a lot of that comes down to the tools in your hands. Reliable tools mean consistency, precision, and confidence on every cut, every measurement, every day on site.
We don’t take that lightly.
That’s why we trust tools that can keep up with the standard we hold ourselves to.
