What makes your primary suite feel like a luxury resort?

Not the square footage. It’s the small calls you make in pre-construction planning that shape your mornings and your evenings.

Here’s some ideas to upgrade your primary suite:

1️⃣ Curbless glass-to-ceiling shower. No lip, no framing, just walk straight in.
2️⃣ Separate toilet closets so mornings don’t start with a negotiation.
3️⃣ Oversized walk-in closet with an island, run off the bathroom. Everything has a home, and getting dressed feels like the calm part of the day.
4️⃣ Heated tile floors. Cold feet in January becomes a distant memory.
5️⃣ In-ceiling speakers pre-wired to the bath and bedroom. Your music coming from nowhere and everywhere.
6️⃣ Layered lighting on dimmers. Different moods on demand.
7️⃣ A private balcony off the bedroom. The perfect peaceful escape for coffee before the house wakes up.

Every one of these is a wire, a valve, or a rough-in that should be decided before the foundation pour is scheduled. Cheap to plan for now. A demo job to add later. Save this to review before your first planning meeting.

This is a suspended slab. And it's the main floor of a Christina Lake home we're currently building.

There's nothing but structural steel, Q-decking, and concrete beneath us.

Getting it right means having every pipe location and rough-in drawn out ahead of time, piping installed through the Q-deck before the pour, so trades can run their lines through sleeves later without touching the structure.

Get it wrong before the pour means there's no easy fix after.

Nothing beats this feeling.

First it was an RV campground. Then Dan and Carol spent the build living right behind it. And finally now, this one is home. And it was extra special celebrating with such genuine, kind hearted people. We feel lucky they trusted us with a property this good.

We don’t hand people a floor plan and hope it works out. Every window here was placed for that view before the first shovel hit dirt.

Standing in the finished home today, watching them see it as owners for the first time, those are the smiles that make everything worth it.

Cheers and welcome home, Dan and Carol. We hope you love it.

Other builders flex on this. We don't, and here's why.

The minute your crew fastens a homeowner's material to the wall, that material is now your work. Not the supplier's. Not the homeowner's. Yours.

Three things go sideways the second client-supplied product walks onto a LUX Homes site.

One, we can't confirm the spec until it shows up. Wrong thickness, wrong batch, wrong finish, and our schedule eats the delay.

Two, short counts and back-orders leave the crew standing with nothing to put up. The client paid for tile. We paid for the day.

Three, when a callback comes a year later, the homeowner phones us. They don't phone the supplier. The supplier is gone. We're the name on the build.

And when something does arrive wrong or fail on the wall, the fix isn't ours to make. It goes back through the client. Then their supplier. Then whatever replacement timeline lands. Our schedule piles up. The next phase backs up, and now the client is getting their keys weeks after the date that was promised.

That's why your client needs to know how you work before they sign on. Every LUX Homes job, we source it, we count it, we inspect it, we own it.
