My story as a slightly obsessed creative 📖

Art and creativity has always been my passion in life.

It started young — sketching animals, doodling in everyone’s notebooks. I didn’t touch a real canvas until my late teens, but when I did, I fell hard.

Oil on canvas. Then wood. I couldn’t get enough.

In my early 20s, painting took over. I’d stay up until 3AM, still in paint mode as I fell asleep.

My days revolved around art: studying it, making it, hunting for supplies and the perfect shade of green.

I rented downtown studios which felt like a dream come true — floor-to-ceiling windows, the smell of linseed oil and paint-splattered floors. Pure artistic freedom. A sacred mess where inspiration was always waiting.

I knew early on that whatever I did with my life, it had to be creative. Art, writing, design — it wasn’t just passion, it was how I connected to the world and myself.

So I went to school for New Media Design and landed a design and communications role at UNBC. My own office, a steady paycheck with benefits.

But inside, I was restless. Boxed in. Formatting premade templates wasn’t stoking my creative fire.

I jumped through roles in forestry, real estate, property development, print media. Each taught me something, but none gave me what I craved most: creative freedom with purpose.

I didn’t just want to design. I wanted to create work that meant something. That helped people achieve their goals. That let me pour my soul into it.

That’s why I started my business. Not because it was easier…it’s been anything but.

But because I’d rather be pushed to my limit building something I believe in than feel unfulfilled or creatively numb ever again.

Now I dedicate my days to helping others — because I’ve been there too. Comfortable but disconnected. Stagnant. Uninspired.

On the other side of betting on yourself is something so aligned, so electric and exciting you won’t believe you settled for less.
