As National Indigenous History Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on the incredible contributions Indigenous entrepreneurs make to communities across British Columbia and beyond.

One meaningful way to celebrate Indigenous history and culture is to support Indigenous-owned businesses in your community and learn the stories behind them.

Here are just a few inspiring Indigenous women entrepreneurs making an impact:
🌟 Ali Assu, founder of RavenSong Soap, creates handcrafted products inspired by traditional Indigenous teachings and a deep connection to the land.
🌟 Sharon Bond-Hogg, founder of Kekuli Café Coffee in West Kelowna, has created a welcoming gathering place that shares Indigenous culture through food, storytelling, and community.
🌟 Patrice Mousseau, founder of Satya Organic Skin Care in Vancouver, turned a family need into an award-winning natural skincare company rooted in traditional healing knowledge.
🌟 Savannah Swaisland, founder of Grape Savvy Wine Tours, offers a variety of tours and showcases the beauty of the Okanagan while creating memorable experiences that connect people with local businesses and communities.

These women are just a few of the many Indigenous entrepreneurs helping to build a stronger, more inclusive economy, but they are far from the only ones. Share your favourites in the comments so we can continue celebrating, supporting, and amplifying Indigenous entrepreneurship year-round.
