Winter weekends are for cookies and coffee. ❄️☕️🍪
Found out the secret to chewy oatmeal cookies is a nice thick, rolled old fashioned rolled oat (like my new fav oats from ) versus quick oats! Also, if you let the batter sit for 30 min or so, the oats soak up some of the moisture to retain the chew!
These cookies didn’t flatten out as they normally would with quick oats (yayy!) so they have a nice crisp outside with a chewy centre. 😋
I split my recipe to make half oatmeal chocolate chip and half oatmeal cranberry raisin to satisfy all in my house!
The only question that remains is: are you Team Chocolate Chip or Team Cranberry Raisin?!
