Invasive Plant of the Week: Queen Anne’s Lace (Daucus carota)

Queen Anne’s Lace is an invasive herb that was originally introduced from Europe. It can commonly be found in gardens, pastures and roadside ditches where there is lots of sun. It has a hollow stem and fern-like leaves with small white flowers that form an umbrella shape. It easily outcompetes native plants and can decrease forage availability and hay production.
