Nice, France 🇫🇷
Ducking into the cathedrals was a lovely way to escape the chaos outside.

More from the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland. It’s a huge tourist attraction, with infrastructure, pathways and a solid rock slab wall they’ve assembled to prevent you from falling off the cliffs. It’s sits about 4 feet high and runs for quite a while. The first 3 images are parts of this wall. I love how the lichen in this coastal environment has formed these beautiful scenes. I kept looking around to see if anyone else was noticing them too. Nooooope. Lol.
All images from Cliffs of Moher.

I have finally gone through all of my “big camera” photos I took on my trip to Europe this fall. Big camera is my work camera with big, heavy lenses that are not built for travel. IYKYK. We traveled and flew 6 days out of our 16, negotiating airport security, train stations, buses, taxis… walking. Everywhere. Always carrying my big camera.
So it’s interesting to see what I chose to capture on this trip, after all the effort and care it took to carry it.
There aren’t that many, so I feel like I’ll drop a few, here and there over the next little while so they have time to breathe and have their moment. 🥰

This image was taken at the last wedding I photographed a few months ago. The spot where they’re standing had meaning. It was a special place on the property that the bride wanted to have the ceremony because it felt magical and held some core memories for her. One of those kinds of places. But it would prove to be logistically challenging so the ceremony was held somewhere close by. So I was happy to have captured this photo for them afterwards as it was an important memory to capture for them. I’ve always felt the most compelling images come from the connection you have to the place. And the light of course… the light shining on you and the light coming from inside you.
I feel honoured to have been able to have these moments, these opportunities, with people over the years. The connections you have with your wedding clients are unlike anything else, and I am grateful for all of them. They are beautiful. I photographed one of my first weddings 24 years ago on this same piece of property as this photo. It felt like a full circle moment - and a bit like the stars aligned for me, as I drove home from the wedding I decided that it would be the last wedding I would photograph. It was time.
Thank you to all my wonderful wedding clients over the past 24 years. It’s been an honour to have been able to stand with you and witness all the beautiful moments.
