What is the difference between a face cord and a bush cord of firewood? A bush cord is 4 feet wide by 4 feet tall by 8 feet long, which is 128 ft.³ of firewood. When a new tree is planted planters place a wood or metal stake with a strap around the tree. Theses should be removed after a year or two when the tree is sturdy enough to stand by itself.
