At Tresah West in Victoria, the architectural balcony design presented us with a unique structural challenge and no standard precedent. The LBS structural engineering team worked in close collaboration with the architects to bridge the gap between complex drawings and physical reality, ensuring every detail was built to last.
This project is a perfect example of what happens when architectural ambition meets engineering creativity.

But when budget concerns arose, the structure was redesigned using LBSโs lightweight steel stud system. The result? Lower costs, faster schedules, and no compromise on quality.
In just 11 weeks, a 3-storey, 129-unit hotel was erected.
This rapid schedule was achieved through extensive prefabrication, including the detailed parapet assemblies, which were pre-assembled in our shop and delivered to site for speedy er****on.
This required close collaboration between structural, architectural, and envelope teams, delivered through detailed planning and coordination.

Constructing three residential buildings at the same time required an exceptional level of coordination across design, fabrication, delivery, and on-site installation.
With multiple trades working in parallel, maintaining alignment in scheduling, sequencing, and quality control was critical.
For example, equipment, workers, and materials had to be managed across all three sites simultaneously, while overall scheduling needed to account for shared resourcesโsuch as crane use and material deliveriesโto avoid delays and overlapping critical path work.
LBS supported this complexity by streamlining communication and leveraging our experienced 3D modelling process to keep all phases of construction aligned.
