XCEL Sport Testing

Recently, XCEL Sport Testing had the pleasure of working with Courtney Ports of the National Hockey League (NHL) LA Kings and Christine Souto of the Toyota Sports Center (LA Kings practice facility) at their inaugural Youth High Performance Hockey Academy.

Our NHL-style, on ice hockey testing Combine kicked off the program and was the first time youth hockey players in Los Angeles were exposed to our performance testing. They were put through the same on ice tests that NHL and CHL players are put through at their Development Camps and Top Prospect Draft Combines.

The plan is to give the players an elite experience they've never had, introduce them to high performance concepts and methods that the Pros use, give them a baseline of their skill level, provide follow up testing to allow them to keep track of their progress and benchmark themselves to NHL standards.

Our testing was well received by players, parents and organizers alike. We look forward to spending more time in California helping the Kings grow the game of hockey!
