I’ll be honest: 2025 felt like a marathon through a storm.

On one hand, we had the ultimate miracle of becoming parents.

On the other, we faced losses that made the world feel fragile and unsafe.

We worked hours that seem cruel looking back at now.

We sacrificed our wants, our comforts, and at times our mental health for what we were working towards.

Most days felt heavy, almost lethargic, leaving me asking, “Is this it?”.

But hindsight is a gift…

Sitting here now with Zèvier napping and my little family gathered on the couch, I realize that even the “torturous” “unbearable” parts were just clearing the way for this peace.

It’s not about what brought us down, but about what we love.

I’m walking into this new year with a new rule: Protect your joy.

I’m learning to stay present in the good times and not let anything or anyone blind me to how beautiful this life is.

It’s more than me now, it’s us!
