Today we celebrate resilient hearts and second chances! Happy National Rescue Dog Day to all the pups who found their forever homes—and the people who made it happen 🐾❤️

An early Happy Victoria Day from all of us at Clappison’s! Please note we’ll be closed Sunday, May 18th, and Monday, May 19th for the long weekend.

As you head outside to enjoy the sunshine, BBQs, and fireworks, don’t forget to keep your furry family members safe:

🎆 Fireworks: Loud noises can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors, close windows and curtains, and play calming music or white noise to help ease anxiety.

🍔 BBQs and Parties: Tempting treats like bones, onions, chocolate, and alcohol can be dangerous or toxic. Remind guests not to share scraps, and keep garbage secured.

🌡️ Heat and Hydration: Warm weather is here! Make sure your pet has access to shade and plenty of fresh water. Avoid midday walks and always test pavement with your hand—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.

🆔 Collars and Microchips: Outdoor activities and loud noises can increase the chance of pets running off. Ensure their ID tags are secure and microchip info is up to date.
