A young girls plea for help.
Christmas time brings joy happiness and many other wonderfully splendid things.
We get to stress over important issues such as will my kids like all of their presents. What if I can't find the gifts they want. What if I don't have time to get to the other store. Will 10 presents each be enough. Will one turkey be enough or should we buy two. What if they don't like turkey maybe we should get a ham too. The neighbours house looks great should we get more Christmas lights. What if we place huge inflatable's on the lawn. Will 6 different deserts cover everyone's tastes.
Will Christmas come for everyone?
What if Christmas doesn't come?
I was in our school office Friday 9 December when an 11 year old girl walked in. She went over to our school secretary, her face almost void of emotion and shared her concern that Christmas would not come for her brothers and sisters. She continued that 2 of her younger siblings need snow pants. It was -2 outside and this child carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders was wearing a spring jacket. Lori asked if it was warm enough and she replied yes.
Her family has 9 children at home and another one on the way. Like many immigrants they came here seeking refuge in the promised land.
The promised land Canada strong & free, with your help we can be the promised land.
We can ensure Christmas comes for this family.
We can answer this brave selfless young girls plea for help.
