I am absolutely speechless about today's send-off. Just, wow. So much love and so much kindness. So much laughter and so many tears. And THAT LINE!! Thank you to all the folks who stuck it out waiting in the cold (some for 4 hours!!) to grab some memories of the fun they experienced in our tiny little space. You cleared us OUT!

So, as you might assume, we will not be opening tomorrow - frankly our walls are bare! We'll spend tomorrow updating our new & sealed inventory on our website and the remaining stock will be available for prearranged curbside pickup and free local delivery.

Please be patient, I'll be responding to the huge amount of emails we received today as soon as I can. But for now, I'm cracking a beer and going to eat my weight in nachos. ♥

A few notes about our safety protocols:
▪️Only 6 customers in the store at a time
▪️Masks are MANDATORY. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you cannot wear a mask, ask your mask-wearing friend to come in on your behalf or call us for curbside pick-up
▪️Be respectful and social distance while in line. We have markers indicating where to wait outside
▪️Hand sanitizing is required
▪️Absolutely no touching games. Staff will open and package all games on your behalf
▪️We'll be accepting cash & debit, no credit

We've been busy little worker bees these past few days getting the shop ready for our used board game sale THIS WEEKEND! We're inspecting EACH game to make sure you're still buying a quality game for a great price! We'll have sale details released soon! ♥

After 7.5 years, it is with a heavy heart that I announce our store closing. This was not easy by any means - it was a very long and complicated decision. The lease is up for renewal at the end of this year and with a significant increase in rent, coupled with some heavy personal life events and the ongoing COVID pandemic, all roads seem to be leading us in this direction. Operating a small business is a difficult feat on a regular day, and trying to navigate it when other life events happen, in addition to trying to stay afloat during the ongoing changes of a pandemic, makes it that much more challenging.

I had hoped (and planned) to announce our closure with a few weeks lead time for our regular customers to enjoy the space safely one last time, however, with the changes that go into effect today, I think it is safest for our staff and customers if the café transitions to a strictly retail environment while we begin the process of closing our doors.

We’re taking the next couple of days to prepare the space for the transition and we will be reopening Saturday November 22nd and Sunday November 23rd from 10am-6pm with our biggest sale yet! And yes, for those about to ask, we’ll be having a wicked clearout sale on all used board games too.
